Friction", the first album by PASS Records and Friction's memorable first album "Friction", has been re-released on LP for a long time! Friction was formed in 1978 by Lek (b/vo), who returned from New York. This is the only full studio album by the lineup of Lek, Masatoshi Tsunematsu, and Chico Hige, and is a brilliant masterpiece in the history of Japanese punk! The album is a miracle that will never fade away, and as the title suggests, you can hear squeaks and creaks from every corner of the album. The trinity of Lek's thick bass and stoic vocals without a trace of sweetness, Tsunematsu's cool and solid guitar, and Chico Hige's precise and destructive drums come together in an onslaught. Everything is beautiful, from the heavy bass roar of the head rek in the opening number "A-Gas" to Tsunematsu's saw-like guitar for the ending of the closing number "Out.Co-produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto and his band, who were enjoying great success with YMO at the time.
