Tight, groovy and superb soul-jazz from the most important artist in the rare groove scene, Hilton Felton, under the name of "THE THREE OF US" in 1971! This is the world's first LP reissue of this extremely rare record, which is rarely seen on the used market due to its extremely small pressing. This album was released in 1971 under the name of THE THREE OF US as the first release of his own label, Hilton's Concept, in the early stage of his career. This is a superb soul-jazz album featuring the trio of Joe Harris (bass) and Johnathan Setell (drums), with whom Hilton was playing regularly at the time. The soul jazz songs "Here Comes David" (M1) and "Music Shall Never Die" (M2) are rich in groove, and of course "Your Analysis" (M3), with its aggressive interplay with the turbo, is at its maximum tension, while the mellow vocal on the sad ballad "Maybe You're Right" (M4) is a real treat. The ballad "Maybe You'll Come Back To Me" (M4),The euphoric killer soul of "Dream Come True (Parts 1 And 2)" (M5), which was also cut as a single, and all songs are not to be discarded! The CD has been newly mastered and reissued with the latest specifications! The LP is being reissued for the first time in the world!
