The Aerovonnes, a band of Beatles-obsessed teenagers from St. Louis, Missouri, traveled to England to record at Abbey Road. The Aerovongs released two excellent singles on Parlophone in the U.K., but due to the group's personnel problems, Parlophone was unable to promote the album and cancelled its release after a test pressing, leaving the recordings to lie dormant until they were discovered and released in 2003.Their unreleased album "Resurrection," which woke them from their slumber, was hailed as one of the pioneers of 70s power pop, and their sound, heavily influenced by the Beatles, was no less impressive than that of the Nazz and the Raspberries.This definitive 2CD release includes that 1969 album, various demos and alternative versions from the same period including 11 previously unreleased songs, Tom Hartman's solo single from 1971, and subsequent home studio recordings.
