Description:
Previously unreleased live performance of the national group "Jackie Yoshikawa and the Blue Comets" is now available. Two parts of groovy soul/disco sound and hit songs of the past. The harmony with female vocalists is also beautiful. In 1973, Jackie Yoshikawa and Keiyoshi Oda re-released the 70's version of "Jackie Yoshikawa and the Blue Comets" with two female vocalists and young musicians from Victor. Since "Blue Chateau" in 1967 was an extraordinarily historic hit, the public was less impressed with this Victor-era Blue Comets, but they are still maniacally popular among song fans, including the smash hit "Sad Girl" on their debut. Musically, the group was spearheaded by keyboardist Keiyoshi Oda, who released high-quality works despite being buffeted by the waves of the times. After releasing two original albums on Victor, he released a soul/discoized version in 1976. This work is a collection of live performances from the 70s Blue Comets' soul/disco period. The first part consists of a medley of hits by the Blue Comets, and the second part consists of dance numbers mixed with Western covers. After all, we would like to focus on the groovy second part, which greatly changes the image of Burukome as a so-called GS. Starting with "Theme of Rebellion" and ending with the Jun Hashimoto=Kyohei Tsutumi single "Peanuts," it was a nonstop disco contest. This is great! Incidentally, Carmen, a female vocalist who sang wonderfully, released her solo single "Apple Doll" the following year in 1977, which has been gaining recognition in recent years as a masterpiece of R&R songs. Supervision: Keiyoshi Oda, Sammy Maeda Mastering: Ger Matsuishi
