Miyuki Kawanaka gently sings a warm-hearted song that calls for spring in this warm enka! Danryu-zakura is an early-blooming cherry tree that blooms from mid-February to early March in Kagoshima Prefecture (mainly in Kagoshima City and Tanegashima Island). It is a new variety of cherry tree that sprouted from the base of a double-flowered cherry tree called "Shougetsu," and its white petals turn red as they fall. It was named "Warm Current Cherry Blossom" in the hope that it will bloom all over Japan, riding the Kuroshio Current (warm current) northward. Miyuki Kawanaka, a singer who is unrivaled in expressing warmth of heart, sings the theme of "Warm Current Cherry Blossoms," a warm heart that calls for spring. (C)RS
