German violinist Linus Roth presents the complete Bach Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, originally released in two separate sets (EPRC0039/EPRC0040). Linus Roth, born in 1977, who studied with Zakhar Bron and Salvatore Accardo, won the ECHO Classical Award for Best New Artist for his debut album released by EMI in 2006, and in 2017 with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Thomas Sanderling! He was again named ECHO Classical Award winner for his album, making him one of the leading violinists of his generation. With a repertoire ranging from major to minor works, he is internationally known for his special contribution to the popularization of the works of Mieczyslaw Weinberg in particular.Bach's Solo Sonatas & Partitas have been with him since he was nine years old, and he used the 2021 lockdown period to record this most important work, a milestone for violinists.
