This performance is the same production as "Maria Stuarda" released by ARTHAUS in March 2009. Costumes and other details are slightly different, but it is quite interesting to compare the equipment and acting (the alberghini as Talbot is also common). In fact, Mariella DeVere was originally scheduled to play the main role. However, due to a death in the family, it was cancelled and Porvelli was cast instead. Although she does not have the same presence as DeVere, her well-balanced singing and acting struck a chord with the audience.
