Description:
Choral music by Santa Latonice (b.1977), who is considered one of the most distinctive Latvian composers. The music is described as "a music in which time, like an illuminated horizon, expands, showing infinite shapes. ...... Its sound world is composed of layers of various thicknesses, reaching into the stratosphere. The "Morning Vigilia" will be performed by the Latvian Radio Chorus and other musicians. The "Morning Vigilia" will be performed by the Latvian Radio Chorus and other musicians. The first thing I saw was a figure reminiscent of the Middle Ages," inspired by Dante's "Divine Comedy, Heavenly Psalm. Summary of the war: Music. The "War Summary: Music, Cartoons, Machines" was composed for the Latvian Broadcasting Company. The Machine" is a "multimedia choral opera" performed by an international collaboration led by the Latvian Radio Chamber Singers. The work is based on an edited text of the Japanese classical Noh play by Danish stage director Vili Flint, with the participation of electronic music exponent Gilbert Uno of France. The "Heavenly Fire" was inspired by the worldview of St. Francis of Assisi and his love for all of creation. It is accompanied by excerpts from "The Prayer of St. Francis," "Hymn to the Most High God," and "The Little Flower of St. Francis. The "Night Dew" was composed for the concert of the International Project "Gaka" (Song of Songs).Using the following passage from "Song of Solomon," "My sister, my lover, open to me, my dove, my virgin pure ......" (chapter 5, verse 2) as the text, this composition was inspired by the musical cultures of Europe and the Middle East. The work is said to be the result of the collaboration of four musicians of the Ensemble Sarband, an Arabic instrumental group whose repertoire includes traditional Middle Eastern music and religious music with roots in Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, and the Latvian Radio Choir, which produced a unique effect.
