The trio at the core of a long career reunited to celebrate 35 years since their first recorded work, creating excitement at La Seine Musical, a new artistic center in Paris. The proposal for the concert was also initiated by Pieranunzi himself. Aside from the aesthetic world, the performance was overflowing with the joy of music played by these three musicians. With the exception of one piece, all of the pieces are original compositions by Pieranunzi. While all of them are excellent, the melancholic intro/theme and the passion-filled solo of the masterpiece "Castle Of Solitude" are the essence of Pieranunzi's music.The performance of the eight pieces, which blended Italian melodic sense with classical elements such as waltz rhythms, created a rich story with exquisite improvisation as well as elegance. The packed house called for three encores! The recording captured by Stefano Amelio is also excellent. It is no exaggeration to say that this is a masterpiece in the history of jazz piano trios, not only for Pieranunzi, but also for the history of jazz piano trios.
