Description:

Shintaro Yanabe, who is well known for his superb technique and saxophone tone that is not limited by the range of his instrument, expresses the poetic world of French modern and contemporary music as if he were singing it with his own voice in this supreme recording. The rich saxophone tone, which melts well with the piano, can be enjoyed on this disc. -Atsuyasu Kitayama (Professor Emeritus, Shizuoka University) [Saxophone/Shintaro Yanabe] Born in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Shintaro Yanabe graduated first in his class from Kunitachi College of Music, Department of Instrumental Music (saxophone) in 1998. In the same year, he performed at the graduation concert of Kunitachi College of Music, the Yamaha Wind Instrument Newcomers Concert, and the debut concert of Suntory Hall "RAINBOW21". He gave his debut recital in Shizuoka, Japan. In 1999, he made his debut as a member of the saxophone quartet "Soleil Quartet" in Tokyo and Shizuoka, and in 2000, he completed his graduate studies at Shizuoka University, where he received the Chairman's Award for Welfare and Support. In the same year, she won a special prize at the 1st Gustav Bunke International Saxophone Competition in Dortmund, Germany. 2005: Selected for the 6th Japan Ensemble Competition, 3rd Prize at the 6th Osaka International Music Competition.She has performed in solo recitals, chamber music, with orchestras and brass bands, and with jazz and rock bands at live houses, regardless of genre. He has studied with Yuji Ishiwata, Keiji Shimoji, Yoshiyuki Hattori, Atsuyasu Kitayama, Nobuya Sugawa, Yasuhito Tanaka, and F. Moretti, and in master classes with Masato Kumoi, E. Rousseau, J=M. Londex, J=Y. Frumeau, and J. Ledieux. He is currently a part-time lecturer at Tokoha University Junior College and the music director of the Civic Wind Ensemble CANTARO WIND ENSEMBLE.
