Ernest Chausson interacted with various musicians in Paris at the end of the 19th century and also supported the innovative trends of the time, such as Satie and Debussy. He is a composer who, while maintaining his own Wagnerian convictions, has established a special status for his sensitive and poetic expression. The "Poems" and concertos (conserts) on this album are known as his masterpieces in the field of instrumental music. Jakub Jakowicz, who plays the violin on the album, is one of Poland's leading performers with a wealth of recordings, chamber music activities, and collaborations with prestigious orchestras and conductors. He is also active as an educator and devotes himself to nurturing the next generation. Finnish pianist Paavari Jumpanen, who will perform with the orchestra, is widely active internationally as a soloist and artistic director, and is highly regarded for his deep involvement in contemporary music, including a recording of the complete sonatas of Boulez. In addition, the Lutoslawski Quartet, formed in 2007, has contributed significantly to the promotion and development of Polish music. Chausson's rich musical legacy is vividly reflected in these outstanding contemporary performers.
