[Middle German Baroque music based on the "Gaggar" that added sweetness to a solid life of faith. Since the 16th century, the Lutheran faith, which spread throughout the German-speaking world, incorporated music into daily prayer and contributed greatly to its artistic breakthrough. Hammerschmidt, who was based in Zittau in central Germany until 10 years before the birth of the "Father of Music" and whose works continued to be widely performed even after his death, is the protagonist of this disc. The program includes a selection of works with lyrics from "Song of Songs," a chapter of Old Testament poetry that describes the thoughts of a young man and woman on their way to a wedding, and works by German-speaking composers of the same period based on the same theme, as well as instrumental ensembles. The bass solo is played on the keyboard. The bass continuo is played not only by organ but also by harpsichord, and triple harp is used effectively in some tracks.This is a piece that attracts the reliably reliable performance of the elite group Clematis, which makes use of the poetry of lovers calling each other "friend" as if it were a vivid dialogue, and well highlights the rich solo writing style unique to Baroque music.
