This album features works by four composers who focus on contemporary opera composition. Thomas Adès's "Suite of Three Pieces" is a work from his debut work "Makeup for Her," which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its premiere in 2025. The familiar melody can be enjoyed. Dove's "Stargazer," subtitled "Opera for Trombone and Orchestra," has been performed many times by Peter Moore, who is now ready to record it. Nico Murie's "Liar Suite" is music from the opera based on Winston Graham's novel "Marnie. The instruments, not the songs, depict the story of the sad protagonist. Aucoin's "Eurydice" is an orchestral suite from his own opera "Eurydice. Beginning with a metallic sound that announces that the dead have crossed the river of oblivion, the music moves back and forth between the underworld and earth. The other piece, "Heath," is the name of a desolate place in "King Lear. This piece is inspired by the final destination of the king who has lost everything. Naxos Japan
