Recording of the Bach Concerto by the Faithful Violinist James Ehnes is one of the leading violinists in Canada today. In recent years, he has been active on British labels such as CHANDOS and ONYX, but this is his first release on the French-speaking Canadian ANALEKTA label in a long time. This time, however, he has recorded Bach's concertos for the first time in a long time for the French-speaking Canadian label ANALEKTA, which has recorded Bach's unaccompanied works and sonatas with harpsichordist Luc Beauséjour to great acclaim in the early 21st century. In his liner notes, Ehnes himself says, "I knew that I could not record without a like-minded partner, and after 30 years of performing together, I found one who fulfilled that ideal. The ensemble's approach to Bach's music is one of a kind, and the Canadian performers are eager to share in the world of Bach's music with the same neatness and sincerity that only Ehnes could bring to the recording, and the ensemble's ability to capture the form of the works and the fullness of life in every corner is something that has only become possible since we became familiar with period approaches and the playing of ancient instruments that aspire to the interpretive style of the 18th century.
