Description:
Adam Fischer Returns to Haydn. The Second Collection of Re-recordings of the Late Symphonies! Adam Fischer is the only conductor who has recorded all Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms symphonies with numbers. On the 25th anniversary of his appointment as Chief Conductor of the Danish Chamber Orchestra, Adam Fischer presents a re-recording of Haydn's late symphonies. This second recording of Haydn's Late Symphonies is even sharper and faster-paced than his previous recording with the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra, and the dynamics and accents are more vivid and clear. The dynamic transitions and accents are vivid and clear. This second collection contains three symphonies from No. 96 to No. 98, including the "Miracle" symphony. The nickname "Miracle" for No. 96 comes from an episode in which a chandelier fell down at the first performance, but no one was injured because the audience had gathered near the stage to see Haydn (recent research has revealed that this incident occurred at the first performance of No. 102). (However, recent research has shown that this event took place during the first performance of No. 102.)The other two pieces are No. 97, in which a special string technique called "sul ponticello" is used in the second movement, and No. 98, which is known for its use of the harpsichord in the final movement. In each piece, the players of the small orchestra show off their playing techniques to the fullest. All three pieces on this disc have a minuet in the third movement, and here, as in the first recording, you can enjoy smooth rhythms and a fresh music full of a sense of speed, accented by the timpani blows. *The domestic edition comes with a commentary by Sunahiko Fuse, founder of the "Michael Haydn Project" and an active performer of both ancient and experimental music.
