Description:

The result is a collection of masterpieces of polyphony, each of which is not very long, but all of them are full of the charm of exquisite polyphonic songs. The theme is Tielmann-Susart. The subject is Tielmann Susart, one of the most important printers of the 16th century, whose letterpress printing technique, developed in Europe in the 15th century, was applied to the printing of musical scores in the early 16th century, enabling music to reach a wider audience than was possible in the days when music had to be transcribed by hand. The polyphonic composers of the French-Flemish school, who were active from the end of the 15th to the 16th century, benefited greatly from this technology. Their fame was greatly enhanced by the publishing industry, which was active in Venice, Antwerpen, Paris, and other large cities where many people passed through.Probably a musician himself, Susart was based in Antwerpen, the most international port city in Flanders, where he made a great contribution to the popularization of the music of Flemish composers such as Crequillon, Clemens Non Papa, and Gombert, as well as the great composers of the past, such as Josquin Desprez, by editing and printing their masterpieces in numerous collections. He contributed greatly to the popularization of the music by compiling and printing masterpieces by Flemish composers such as Josquin Desprez and others. The program, which will be accompanied by a lute soloist, will allow the audience to enjoy the authenticity of the works selected by Susart, and will include such well-known pieces from the past as "A Thousand Sorrows" and "Nymphs of the Forest," as well as religious and secular pieces in various languages, including French, Dutch, Italian, and Latin, and will be well-detailed and well-polished. The result, coupled with the certainty of the well-detailed performances, is a lighthearted invitation into the world of five centuries ago. Naxos Japan
