This collection consists of 10 works from the 1960s and 1970s written by Chinese composers, combined with contemporary works. The music is performed by Edward Han Jiang, who studied at the Central Conservatory of Music, then at Columbia University, and is a composer himself. He likens the black and white keys of the piano to the spirit of Chinese ink paintings, and the music is a combination of "Song Hua Jiang" by Cui Shiguang and "Liuyang River" (aka "Liuyang River") by Wang Jianzhong, as well as "Spring Dance in the West" by Sun Yiqiang. The performance will also include a performance of an ancient Chinese folk song, "Jiangjing", and a performance of "Liuyang River" (also known as Liuyang River) by Wang Jianzhong. The collection also includes Jiang's own arrangement of an ancient Chinese folk song, "Marika," with its elaborate ornamentation, and "Moonlit Night over the Spring River," which dates back to the Tang Dynasty over 1,300 years ago, and is representative of the country's long history of culture. Other pieces include "CHILDREN'S CORNER" for children composed by Jiang and "Eight Memories in Watercolor" by Tan Dun, which uses the five-note scale to great effect.
