Sergei Marlov has captivated audiences with his light tone and excellent interpretation of J.S. Bach's "Suite for Unaccompanied Cello" performed on the Violoncello da Spalla. This time, he will perform Paganini's masterpiece "24 Caprices" in its entirety, which he has always held in high esteem. Marlov has recorded many Paganini related works in the past, but this time he not only performs the entire Caprices, which are known for their difficulty, but also improvises on the electric violin to create his own unique image of Paganini. Sergei Marlov was born in St. Petersburg. He studied at the Mozarteum University and won many international competitions, including the Tokyo International Viola Competition, with his two instruments, violin and viola. She has performed with orchestras around the world, especially in Europe, and has given recitals in major concert halls.
