The latest 2018 release by Finnish contemporary composer Magnus Lindbergi. Both of the two works on the album are world premiere recordings and celebrate the 60th anniversary of Lindberg's birth. The Violin Concerto is dedicated to Frank Peter Zimmermann, who premiered the work while Lindberg was composer-in-residence with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The glorious violin melody, which responds to the rich orchestral sound, has a romantic and nostalgic atmosphere, which sums up the style of Lindberg's later period. Tempus fugit" is a Latin phrase meaning "time flies. In Japanese, it would be "Kouin-yin-ya-no-yashi.Commissioned in 2017 for the Finnish Independence Concert, he did not dare to write a traditional work, but instead wrote "Tempus fugit" in the same technique as his first orchestral work "FORCE," which he composed in the 1980s using computer language. This one is a 30-minute work with impressionistic sound and luminous melody, and is dedicated to Hanne Lintu, the first performer. Naxos Japan
