A veteran band that debuted at the dawn of Scandinavian metal from Sweden, MINDLESS SINNER made a miraculous first visit to Japan in 2024, and now they are back with a new album! MINDLESS SINNER, who made their debut in 1983 in Sweden, the same year as EUROPE, finally debuted in Japan with their fifth new album in four years, following their first Japan tour in 2024! This new album is an explosion of uncompromising heavy metal by a band that continues to focus on orthodox metal to the point of ruggedness! The band started their career in 1981 with their predecessor band, PURPLE HAZE, and debuted in 1982 as MINDLESS SINNER with the EP "Master Of Evil", followed by the release of two more albums in 1986 and 1989. The band stopped in 1990 during the grunge period, but reunited in 2014, the 30th anniversary of the band, and has released two more albums since then.And the amazing thing about this band is that four members from the 1980s remain in the band today, and even departed original member Tommy Johansson (who left in 2022) continues to have a strong bond with the band today. (Incidentally, the current drummer Rinus Melchishen also joined the band on Tommy's recommendation.) The new album "Metal Merchants" is full of power metal with a touch of good old Scandinavian metal, created by the five members united by an iron bond around the steadfast vocalist Christel Göransson. At their Japan tour in February 2024, the five members will perform an ultra-orthodox heavy metal style with plenty of twin guitars in the vein of JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, SAXON, and MOTORHEAD, all of which have influenced their music. A wonderful live show was performed.This remarkable new album contains 13 songs, including bonus tracks! All of them are new songs except two ("Let's Go Crazy" and "A Madman Is Crying", which were written in the 80's)! As for the album title, vocalist Christel says, "It's a cool title, don't you think? It's a tribute to all those who live and breathe heavy metal!
