Description:

Riot, a heavy metal band that is very popular in Japan, releases their first new album in 6 years. This time, the power metal full of lyricism and aggression, which was perfected in the great album "Thundersteel" (1988), is exploding! Riot is an American heavy metal band that has been very popular here in Japan since 1975. It is no exaggeration to say that there is no one who is not familiar with "Warrior" from their debut album "Rock City" released in 1977. After releasing "Narita" (1979), "Fire Down Under" (1981), "Restless Breed" (1982), and "Born in America" (1983), the band temporarily disbanded in 1984, but reunited in 1986 with all new members except Mark Leary (G). In 1986, the band reunited with all members except Mark Leary (G). The comeback album "Thundersteel" (1988), which increased the aggressiveness at once, is highly acclaimed as a masterpiece. The addition of Don Van Stavern (B) of the cult speed metal band S.A. Slayer added speed and aggression to Riot's lyricism, and chemistry was born. The band continued to do well, but in 1923, they suffered a great tragedy. The band's founder and leader, Mark Leary, died suddenly of a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Mike Flintz (G) and Don Van Stavern decided to carry on Mark's legacy and keep the band alive, releasing "Unleash the Fire" in 2002 and performing at Loud Park 14. In 2002, the band released "Unleash the Fire" and performed at Loud Park 14, impressing Japanese fans that Mark's spirit is immortal. Now, Riot is releasing their long-awaited new album, "Mean Streets". It has been six years since his last album, "Armor of Light," and this is his 17th album in total. Naturally, the power metal full of lyricism and aggression, which was perfected in "Thundersteel," explodes on this album. The energy overflows, and the melodies are so melancholy that metal fans can't get enough of them. This is a masterpiece that makes you want to say, "This is Riot, this is heavy metal. If you like heavy metal, this is a must have. The mix was done by Bruno Ravel, who is also the bassist of Danger Danger. The Japanese edition includes a bonus disc with previously unreleased material, including a live performance from the Mark Leary era and Joe Lynn Turner's solo vocal version of "Killer" (from "The Privilege of Power" (1990)).
