In "From the New World," the young Kubelik bids farewell to his native land, which he had to leave, and looks forward to the new world with great enthusiasm. I was surprised to hear such a vivid sound in the original recording. In addition, there is a live recording of Kubelík performing "Prague" together with "From the New World" at the last concert of his life in Prague on October 11, 1991, and it seems that he considered these two pieces as a fateful program.The 39-year-old Kubelik's American recording of Mozart is a strikingly beautiful and moderate performance, intelligently composed in every respect and never losing its brilliance and dignity, in contrast to the spontaneity and fluidity of the orchestra in the 1961 Vienna recording, which was remarkable for its dependence on the spontaneity of the orchestra.
