Moods is proud to announce the first domestic release on CD of a modern/sweet soul gem from St. Louis, Missouri, recorded in 1978! The Moods' richly localized sound, which was recorded in St. Louis, Missouri, and not in Chicago or Detroit, much less Philly or New York, continues to attract today's listeners with its rich vocals and incandescent playing. The uplifting, lighthearted beat of modern soul on TR-1 will have you on the verge of fainting. TR-2 is a full-length sweet song with a mellow feeling, and TR-3, a masterpiece of group balladry with singers of all types, is their signature song. TR-4 is as sweet and magical as the title suggests, and the three slow songs in a row are sure to knock you out. In light of the recent disco demand, TR-5, which was recently compiled on BBE's "Private Wax Vol. 2," is the right wing of the deep disco genre. TR-6, with its moderately hard beat, is a sweet two-step.The last track, TR-7, is heavy boogie funk, and the inertia in the air is irresistible to enthusiasts. The seven tracks are well balanced between slow and upbeat, and it is no wonder that this album has been sought after in the out-of-print market for so many years!
