A collection of works for solo piano and two pianos by the renowned French jazz pianist Marcel Soler (1927-), beloved for his brilliant fingerwork and arrangements. Performed by the celebrated French pianist Éric Ferrand-Enkawa. Displaying talent from a young age, he actively collaborated with musicians from Eastern Europe and Russia. His duo with Gilles Appap (vn) also drew attention for its unconventional performances. This collection features repertoire perfectly suited to his mastery of Bach, contemporary music, and jazz. The duet performance of "Ballade for Two Pianos" is also a highlight. Recorded in 2011. (C)RS
