Tagawa Kyoko:Beethoven (1770-1827)

Description:

International pianist Kyoko Tagawa, who is also a professor at Kyoto University of Information Science and Technology, has produced this album to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Kyoto Computer Gakuin and Kyoto University of Information Science in 2023. Ludwig van Beethoven. He is the most influential figure in music since the beginning of human history. A man whose life was filled with suffering, he devoted his entire life to music, loved the piano, and left 32 piano sonatas to this world. Many of them are considered masterpieces, and "Moonlight," "Tempest," and "Passion," included here, stand as the core of his works. If emotion is the vitality that gives birth to music, then these three pieces are filled with the fundamental human "power" of "love" and "life and death. Kyoko Tagawa, the performer, is fascinated by Beethoven's "power" and has succeeded in the "Complete Beethoven Piano Sonatas" concert, a milestone as a performer. This album reminds us once again that "power" is necessary in performance as well. <Kyoko Tagawa, piano, graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts with a bachelor's degree in music and completed graduate studies in music at the same university. Graduated from the Karl Maria von Weber University of Music and Performing Arts, Dresden, Germany. She received the 2002 Baroque Saal Prize for a duo recital she gave with contrabassist Sander Smarandescu. He has studied under Hisayuki Obara, Kazuyo Baba, Makoto Ueno, Peter Reesel, and Etsuko Tasaki, and from 2009 to 2011 gave the "Complete Beethoven Piano Sonata Concerts," which were featured in various newspapers including the Nikkei newspaper. With a wide repertoire ranging from baroque to modern and contemporary music, she has given numerous solo recitals, performed with orchestras and chamber music, and is active in many other fields. His activities are not limited to Japan, but also extend to Europe, Asia, and other countries. He is currently a professor at Kyoto Institute of Information Science and Technology, and a part-time lecturer at Osaka University of Arts and Kyoto Horikawa Music High School. Tobu Shoji Co.
