Description:
A collection of Neapolitan recorder concertos by Mutsuyuki Motomura, Japan's world-famous recorder player! Mutsuyuki Motomura, a master recorder player, breathes life into the hottest area of ancient music, the 18th century music of Naples, with two recorders by Fumitaka Saito, reproduced with the same finger holes, fingering, and pitch (a'=405) as the originals. The Dugong Boys and Friends will present a gorgeous and atmospheric musical performance. This is Waon Records' first chamber music ensemble scale album, recorded in high quality with custom-made DC amplifier microphones and 5.6MHZ DSD. Naples is a rare city in that it was one of the first cities to have a large school dedicated to music education from the 16th century. Here we have Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725, actually from Sicily), the founder of the "Neapolitan School", and Mancini (1672-1737, who was once court music director during the absence of A. Scarlatti), from Naples, Sallo (1679-1744, studied at the Naples Conservatory from the age of 6), and Fiorenza (?). (1679-1744, studied at the Conservatory in Naples from the age of 6), Mehle (1704-1752, died afterwards), and Fiorenza (? - 1764), Barbera (1764-1763), and Valverde (1764-1763), all of whom were also musicians in their own right. -(1692-1732, studied at the Conservatory in Naples when Mancini was director), and Valentine (1674-1747, born in England, then in Rome, and played in Handel's oratorio in Naples). The works are beautiful and attractive, with lively rhythms and vivid harmonies. (1/2) King International
