Ryuichi Sakamoto's first world-release album, released in 1987, this seventh solo album was co-produced with Bill Laswell for a worldwide release and features top musicians from different genres, including Sly Dunbar and Bootsy Collins. Sly Dunbar, Bootsy Collins, and many more. Based on an electronic sound, but fused with organic and ethnic musical elements such as Okinawan and Balinese traditional music, the album was recorded in Tokyo and New York, and released in over 20 countries around the world, making it a milestone in his solo career. This reissue includes the latest cutting of "NEO GEO" and the 12-inch single "RISKY" with Iggy Pop on vocals, as well as the first commercial release of a live video of the last day of the tour in Japan in July 1987, when "NEO GEO" was released, which was broadcast on NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation). In addition, two Blu-ray discs of the live performance in New York in June 1988, each up-converted with the latest technology, will be released as a 4-disc box set.The booklet includes an interview with guitarist Haruo Kubota, who also participated in the recording and tour of "NEO GEO.
