Description:
Starring: Haruna Kawaguchi, Mahiro Takasugi × Director: Yuki Yamato × Music: Vampillia Stage IV colon cancer. A film adaptation of a “true love story” woven from a life with limited time. The story of living strongly and happily until the very end is deeply moving. I want to be with you every minute, every second. Stage IV colon cancer. A “true love story” of someone who lived on with unwavering strength despite it all. In 2018, in Aomori, Nodoka Endo—then 21 years old—was diagnosed with “Stage IV colon cancer.” Together with her husband, Shoichi, she fought against this harsh fate and lived on with great strength. Her story was featured on the TV program “100 Million People’s Big Question!? Laugh and Bear It!,” and even now, six years after it aired, it continues to leave a lasting, indelible impression on viewers. Nodoka’s diary—in which she reflected on life and death and wrote with love right up until 10 days before her passing—was later published as *My Diary of Life, Even After Mom Is Gone* (Shogakukan), touching the hearts of countless people. The film is directed by Yuki Yamato, acclaimed for her delicate portrayal of emotions and stunning visual beauty in works such as *Drowning Knife* (2016). Haruna Kawaguchi, known for her authentic portrayals of real women, takes on this true story and embodies Kazu with her whole heart and soul. Additionally, Mahiro Takasugi plays Shoichi, the husband who loved and cherished Kazu, and this stellar cast and crew pour their souls into bringing this story of love to life. The music for this film is provided by Vampillia, a rock band. The beautiful melodies of the piano accompany her journey of living strongly and happily, resonating deeply within the hearts of the audience.
