The city pop boom has put the spotlight not only on masterpieces but also on a group of works of similar quality, making many of them readily available. Tomoko Soryo is one of the artists who are being reevaluated amidst this movement, and has delivered a wide variety of works as a solo artist and as a female duo unit. Some people have expressed their desire to taste her works in a concentrated form. This is also the reason for the interest of new listeners who are "more than users and less than fans. In response to this, "Light Mellow: Tomoko Soryo" has been released in UHQCD format with the latest mastering. This is the artist edition of the compilation disc planned, supervised, selected and commented by writer Hisakazu Kanazawa. What is "Light Mellow"? It is a term to describe comfortable music. It is neither a genre term nor a special musical terminology.There are no barriers between Western and Japanese music, and with "sophistication" and "urban" as keywords, pop, rock, jazz, soul, funk, folk, bossa nova, Latin, and sometimes even songs.... Light Mellow melds these various flavors into a single disc without any difficulty. That is the essence of Light Mellow," says Hisakazu Kanazawa. Light Mellow Tomoko Soryo" includes solo albums, best of albums, soundtracks by the duo unit "Tina," original albums, and a bonus track, "City Lights by the Moonlight" by Yasunori Soryo and the Jim Rock Singers, which is a famous city pop tune. The bonus track "City Lights by the Moonlight" was selected by Hisakazu Kanazawa.
