Based on a manga by Shirow Masamune, famous for "Ghost in the Shell" and other works, it is popular not only in Japan but also overseas, and has been published in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and other countries. The manga has already been made into a number of films, but "Appleseed Alpha" is a prequel to the story of Dunan and Briareos' journey to Olympus, which has never been shown before, in 3D CG images. After the world war, New York City is in ruins, with the nation and its intelligence network destroyed. Former SWAT officer Dunant and his girlfriend Briareos, a full-body cyborg, earn their daily bread by unwillingly performing tasks requested by gangsters.As the days go by when they want to leave the city but cannot make it happen, Dunant and Briareos save a man and woman who are being attacked by automatic weapons.
