The familiar melodies and increased maturity as a songwriter exceed all expectations! This is the long-awaited third full-length album by Canadian singer/songwriter Ellen Doty. Her voice is serene and delicate, rich in emotion, and resonates gently in the ear. The piano trio performance, in which the number of notes has been reduced to the utmost limit, allows the listener to feel the breath of the music itself in the margins. The music is unobtrusive, yet profound. The string quintet newly added to this album is not overly flamboyant, but accompanies the songs in a gentle way. The album contains 12 original songs, most of which she wrote and recorded during her pregnancy, and which she describes as "music for healing, self-reflection, and peace in a world full of strife.This album is a new stage in her career, with the hope that "all people who have experienced major changes in their lives will find something beautiful beyond the changes in this album.
