Talisman was formed in the late 90's by former Yngwie Malmsteen bandmates Yoran Edman (Vo), Marcel Jacob (B), and Mats Olausson (Keys). The band has been well received in Japan as an authentic melodic rock band, especially their first two albums, "Talisman" and "Genesis", which are still highly regarded as their masterpieces. After their formation, the band consistently released albums and toured Japan from the '90s to the '00s, but the shocking suicide of Marcel in 2009 brought the band to a halt. In 2019, the band suddenly released "Never Die (a song for Marcel)," their first new song in over 10 years, as a tribute to Marcel. The song was intended to donate the proceeds to a suicide prevention organization. Five years later, in early 2024, a new song, "Save Our Love," was released to commemorate Marcel's 60th birthday. In addition, it is still fresh in fans' memories that TALISMAN announced that they will play a show as TALISMAN in memory of Marcel Jacob, who passed away at the Swedish Rock Festival in 2024.The band initially considered releasing the album as a 2-CD set because the number of songs on this album was too large to fit on a single CD, but it was eventually released separately as "Part 1 & 2". However, the band released the CD separately in the form of "Part 1 & 2," with the order of the songs and the songs on the CD changed in overseas markets. For this reissue, the band has changed the jacket, and the songs have been re-mastered and released on a single CD, with the song order and tracks that best reflect the band's intentions.
