Jim Peatrick, the creator of "Eye of the Tiger," "Burning Heart" and other big hits for "Survivor" in the past and currently leading "Pride of Lions," has invited many guests to join him for the 4th album in 2 years of "Jim Peatrick & World Stage" project. In 1970, "Jim Petrick" created the #2 U.S. hit "Vehicle" with "Eyes of March," and in 1978, "Survivor" was formed with the theme song ("Eye of the Tiger") to the hit movie "Rocky III," which went to #1 in the U.S. and won a Grammy Award, and the theme song ("Eye of the Tiger") to "Rocky IV" which went to #2 in the U.S. and won a Grammy Award. Since 2003, he has continued to produce masterpieces such as "Pride of Lions," which still maintain his high quality as a songwriter. For this album, "Roots & Shoots Vol. 1," he is joined by a group of Chicago-based artists, the first of a two-part project called Roots (classic rock stars) and Shoots (up-and-coming rock stars).Vol. 1 features such phenomenal members as Kevin Cronin (REO Speedwagon), Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger), Don Burns (.38 Special), and Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad). This is a gorgeous work that explodes the talents of a true wizard of melodic rock, as only Jim Peatrick can do.
