The Outland, an instrumental masterpiece produced with Gavin Harrison (King Crimson, Porcupine Tree), Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel), and others, is released. The Outland is the new album by Iamthemorning pianist Gleb Kolyadin, who has created a universe in which to escape the turbulence of everyday life and see the world through introspection. Rich, warm textures comfort the listener, and the track listing is based on the principle of a symphonic suite in six movements, with a short break in the middle. The entire album loops, immersing the listener in a new dimension of Kolyadin's music: the echoes of Pat Metheny & Hiromi, the minimalism of Steve Reich, British folk, film soundtracks, and 1970s-80s prose like Gong and Mike Oldfield. Kolyadin's playing is genre-defying, moving back and forth between classical piano, jazz-rock, and fusion, with references to the progressive rock of the 1970s and '80s like Gong and Mike Oldfield.The album will be an instrumental masterpiece recorded in private studios around the world from summer 2021 to January 2022 with Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson) on drums, Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel) on upright bass, and Vlad Avy on guitar.
