In 2016, Australian indie soul electronic artist Chet Faker announced that he would be performing under his real name, Nick Murphy. With two names, he has been able to achieve a depth of musicality that has been sublimated into a euphoric pop-electro sound in his latest work, "HOTEL SURRENDER". Chet Faker is an Australian indie soul electronic artist whose debut album "BUILT ON GLASS" won an ARIA Award, Australia's Grammy Award, in 2014, and he also performed at the Fuji Rock Festival in 2016. In 2016, he announced that he would be performing under his real name, Nick Murphy. In 2016, he announced that he would continue to perform under his real name, Nick Murphy, and continue to release works while pursuing his "next form. Nick has now returned to the scene under his new artist name, Chet Faker.He has completed a new album, HOTEL SURRENDER, his first new album in almost two years, since 2019's RUN FAST SLEEP NAKED, which he released as Nick Murphy. After touring the last album, he began writing songs in his own studio in New York City, but he said that all of the new songs had a vibe reminiscent of his early work. He admits that he had no intention of reviving his old projects, but he found himself with an album's worth of songs. Those 10 songs became this album, "HOTEL SURRENDER. (1/2)
