Description:

A collection of J.S. Bach toccatas by German-born harpsichordist Eleonore Bühler-Kästler. Bach's toccatas were composed in his youth and have a relatively free style, with a technical toccata section first, followed by a fugue. It is playful music that makes full use of chromatic scales and free rhythms, and is also a difficult piece that tests the skill of the player. It is said that Bach's disciples combined the Fantasy and Fugue, which were written as two separate works, into a single piece. Recorded in 2013. (C)RS
