The "Violin Concerto" is a work in the Bach tradition with the fresh buds of the Romanticism. The "Violin Concerto" is a charming work in which the solo instrument and the string group are treated equally, and while it sounds like a Baroque concerto, there are beautifully sung melodies throughout the solo instrument. Biondi's violin solo is bursting with beauty, and the technical parts are also full of flourishes.The "Salve Regina" is for solo voice and strings, but the string ensemble sings rather than accompanies, bringing out more than ever the beauty of the religious works written by the boy Mendelssohn.
