The one-shot project by legendary French producer/engineer Eric Calvi and Steven D'Acquisto, the DJ/producer who started the first record pool concept with David Mancuso and others, and also known for his unit Loose Joints with Arthur Russell, is now being reissued on Emotional Rescue! Acquisto's one-shot project Exo Fender! His only EP, 1987's "Big Mod", was released at a time when he was moving from Paris to the New York music scene, working on tracks for Bambaata, Chaka Khan, Aztec Camera, Duran Duran and others, and producing hit songs as well. The groove and sound of the album has captured the keen attention of record diggers around the world over the decades. This track is the flip side of the BIG MOOD EP and is heavily influenced by Arthur Russell, a regular at THE LOFT and a friend of mine. It's a DISCODUB prototype, with a lot of post-punk and NY underground elements, and an acid flavor that cult collectors can't afford to miss! A key figure in the NY Underground, ex! The EDIT is done by Justin Van Der Volgen, formerly known as JV, a key figure in the NY underground. A must have DJ edit, re-edited in the DISCODUB~East Coast Cult House manner!
