DMA'S (D-M-A's), a Britpop band from Australia Their fifth studio album is the self-titled *DMA'S*, named after the band DMA'S is a trio formed in Sydney in 2014, consisting of Tommy Odell (vocals), Matt Mason (guitar), and Johnny Toucan (guitar/keyboards). They gained attention for their anthemic sound, influenced by Britpop and ’90s indie, and their emotional vocals, and shot to fame with their debut album *HillsEnd* (2016). Since then, they have steadily built their career and cultivated a passionate fan base around the world. To date, they have released four albums—*HillsEnd*, *ForNow* (2018), *THEGLOW* (2020), and *HowManyDreams?* (2023)—all of which have received high acclaim. Their most recent albums, *THEGLOW* and *HowManyDreams?*, reached No. 4 and No. 3, respectively, on the UK Albums Chart. They have also amassed over 500 million total streams. Furthermore, 13 of their songs have charted on Australia’s popular radio station triplej’s “Hottest 100.” This fifth studio album is a self-titled work bearing the band’s name; it is a confident release that captures a significant milestone in their career. Written and recorded at their own studio in Sydney and in Los Angeles, it features 11 tracks. It showcases the evolution of DMA’S’ signature anthemic sound. While the melodies retain their characteristic directness and emotional power, the album incorporates new sonic textures and takes an approach that prioritizes “authenticity” and “being true to themselves” not only in terms of production quality but also in their performance and expression.
