The members of SONS OF APOLLO have formed a new band after Mike Portnoy's departure, and a group of highly skilled and fierce musicians will bring a new style to the progressive metal scene! The band name "Whom Gods Destroy" comes from the Latin proverb "Whom the Gods would destroy, they first make mad".Vocalist Dino (Dino Jelusick) is from Croatia and started his career as a singer at the age of 5 (TV, stage, etc.), winning the first "Junior Eurovision Song Contest" at the age of 10. After that he worked as a solo artist and since 2015 he has been participating in bands and various projects.He recently played keyboards and backing vocals for Whitesnake and sang all vocals on Michael Romeo's latest album released in 2022. Bassist Yas Nomura (Yasutaka Nomura) is a guitarist/bassist living in LA, touring guitarist for HYDE, and has been working on his own band, The Resonance Project, since 2019.
