He currently holds a professorship in ensemble and contemporary music conducting at the Munich University of Music and Theater. This album features six works written in 2000 for Nils Menkemeyer and William Yong on the theme of the dialogue between man and nature. All were composed with the intention of conveying gratitude for the earth, reflecting on its beauty, and creating hope for an even better future. With these pieces, Gruzzi depicts the beauty of nature and encourages us to care for the earth's environment with his unique and rich tonal compositional style. Gruzzi, Menkemeyer, and pianist William Yong are close friends, not only in music but also in their personal lives, and Gruzzi's works have appeared on Menkemeyer's previous albums.Call of the bees," "messages between tress," and "melodies from the sea" evoke the stories and voices of whales, bees, waves, and trees through expressive tone, rhythm, tempo, and timbre. Wind whispers" poetically depicts images of the soft, quiet atmosphere. Not only is the natural world represented in a variety of sounds, but "evening at the window II" seems to come alive with the colorful images of Marc Chagall's paintings.
