Description:
Ye Vagabonds, a duo of brothers from Ireland, released their fourth album "All Tied Together" on River Lea, a label affiliated with Rough Trade. Ye Vagabonds' music has always been imbued with a spirit of community. The band's diverse instrumentation includes acoustic and electric guitars, trumpet, upright bass, Moog synths, harmonium, bouzouki, fiddle, and more, blended with the unique harmonies of the brothers' voices. It is sublimated as a one-of-a-kind ensemble. Brothers Brian and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn began busking on the streets during the economic crisis of 2008, and began their career based in their hometown of Carlow, Ireland, and then Dublin. Jazz, folk, punk, blues, Irish trad, and even a flute player from Sardinia, Italy... In this environment of diverse music, they developed rich musical roots.All Tied Together was produced by Phil Weinrobe, an old family from Galway, West of Ireland, known for producing Big Thief and Adrienne Lenker, and was recorded almost entirely live. Up to ten musicians collaborated on the arrangements, which were performed in unison without headphones, and multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily, known for his collaborations with Cass McCombs, also joined from Brooklyn to add magical color to the work. Ye Vagabonds has made a name for himself as an inheritor of traditional music, but in recent years he has delved deeper into his own creation, pursuing his own unique expression with trusted colleagues. All Tied Together brings people, places, and dreams back into the light through the music of Ye Vagabonds, a group of friends bound by blood and friendship who come together in one room to focus on what has been lost through song.
