Bartees Strange, who has toured with boygenius and The National and is currently based in Washington, DC, will release his third album, "HORROR," on 4AD! The world is sometimes a terrifying place. The world can be a scary place, especially for a young, queer, black man living in rural America.Horror" addresses facing those fears and growing into an awe-inspiring existence. Throughout the film, Strange layers one bitter truth after another against the backdrop of a mixture of music he loved as a child. The 12 songs on the album are a fusion of influences such as Parliament Funkadelic, Fleetwood Mac, Teddy Pendergrass, and Neil Young taught by his father, as well as Strange's interest in hip-hop, country, indie rock, and house, The result is 12 tracks of completely original work!
