Trio Gaspard, winners of the Joseph Joachim Chamber Music Competition and the Haydn International Chamber Music Competition! Simultaneous recording of Haydn's piano trios and contemporary works inspired by his works! Trio Gaspard has begun recording Haydn's complete piano trios. Haydn composed more than 40 piano trios during his illustrious career. And despite the fact that so many of his works have survived, each of them has its own unique characteristics and appeal. This album contains a selection of Haydn's works composed in the middle or late period of his career. Interestingly, the orchestra also commissioned a contemporary composer to write a work inspired by Haydn's piano trio, and a work by percussionist and composer Johannes Julius Fischer is recorded for the first time in the world. We invite you to compare Haydn's works with those of Haydn from a contemporary perspective. Trio Gaspard was founded in 2010 by members from Germany, Greece, and England, and has been praised for its fresh interpretations and approaches, regularly performing in the world's major concert halls such as Vigmore Hall and the Berlin Philharmonic.They have won the Joseph Joachim Chamber Music Competition in Weimar and the Haydn International Chamber Music Competition in Vienna, and their concerts have actively featured Haydn's works since their inception.
