First release. Here comes the fifth installment of the Doremi Argerich series, the Leningrad live fan-favorite of Argerich and Ricci. This time, all of the recordings are first-time releases, and it is surprising that many of them are Argerich's only performances. The highlight is the recital with Ruggiero Ricci at the Great Hall of the Philharmonic in Leningrad, the former Soviet Union, on April 21, 1961. Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 3 was even better than expected. It is no exaggeration to say that the piano plays the leading role in this work, and young Argerich's heavenly piano can be fully appreciated. The 43-year-old Ricci is inspired and exudes energy. The Prokofiev and Bartók sonatas were performed by Argerich alone, but the recording of Rich at the height of his powers at the time is also extremely valuable. It is truly amazing. Even more exciting is Sarasate's "Introduction and Tarantella.This is the only time we can hear Argerich's Sarasate, albeit with accompaniment, and the natural expression of Spanish colors is superb. The natural expression of Spanish colors is superb. Once again, we are reminded that Sarasate was a Spanish composer. Ravel's piano concerto was performed with Ernesto Boule, a conductor of many years ago. Argerich's youthfulness at the age of 19 at the time is a charm of this period, but I marveled at the Argerich magic of the seven-colorful tones of the piano. It is a treasure of piano music history.
