Dijon is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter who first caught the attention of early listeners with his debut album "ABSOLUTELY" in 2021. Recently, he has been posting mysterious screenshots on his Instagram, hinting at the release of new music, and after a countdown on his website, he has finally announced his first new album in four years, "BABY".
Dijon's debut album, ABSOLUTELY, was named one of the best albums of 2021 by THE FADER, i-D, NPR and other media outlets for its groundbreaking R&B style of blistering emotion over sentimental guitar and delicate sound, and was also named one of the best albums of 2021 by His "ABSOLUTELY THE FILM," featuring a realistic and intimate live performance in a dining room, and his performance of "Big Mike's" on the popular U.S. television show The Tonight Show, have shown that recording artists have a new way of approaching performance visuals. In the summer of 2022, "Many Times" was selected by former U.S. President Barack Obama for his "2022 Summer Playlist. After that, many wondered where his sound would take him, but Dijon decided to disappear from the public eye and start a family of his own.
It was not until 2025 that Dijon, who had gained such a cult following, came back into the spotlight.He appeared as a featured artist on Bon Iver's song "Day One" from the album "SABLE, FABLE" and is a co-writer and producer on several songs on Justin Bieber's new album "SWAG", as well as a guest on "Devotion". He also participated in "Devotion" as a guest. Finally, Dijon's second album "BABY" will be released.
Dijon's second album, "BABY," was produced at home with his new family and fellow musical-minded musicians Andrew Sarlo, Henry Kwapis, and Michael Gordon. The album reflects the rapid changes in Dijon's life since the release of "ABSOLUTELY" and the frenzy of his new family life, while depicting his emotional state with emotional vocals, various samples, and shimmering guitar, piano, and drum beats. The introspective songwriting remains intact. While retaining the introspective songwriting, each song captures the moments of ecstasy and tragedy that inevitably accompany the changes that transform one's life, making this album both experimental and a retracement of R&B traditions.
Dijon was recently revealed as appearing in Paul Thomas Anderson's latest film, ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER.He is aiming for even greater heights with his new album, and "Baby" is his highest achievement to date.
