A continuation of the "Baroque Project" by "Marcello di Lisa & Concerto de Cavalieri," acclaimed as "a groundbreaking instrumental ensemble that combines philosophy and passion. In the early Baroque period, opera flourished in Venice, but in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, the center of opera shifted from Venice to Naples. The Neapolitan school's operas are characterized by an emphasis on melody, and the contrasting nature of music can be clearly seen. Among the Neapolitan school, Scarlatti's music served as an important bridge between the Italian vocal style of the early Baroque and the classical music school represented by Mozart. Many of his operatic overtures were written in the sinfonia form (rapid-modal-rapid), which led to his later symphonies. On the other hand, the "Six concertos in seven voices" here are written in four or five movements, unlike the sinfonia form of Vivaldi and others. By incorporating alternating overtures and concertos in the program, Marcello di Lisa creates a lively expression, making good use of the contrasts in A. Scarlatti's music. Sony Music
