Against a backdrop of ethereal and irregular avant-pop, Murex’s trajectory—as she unravels herself and reaches toward creative and emotional liberation—unfolds. The album title, “Inventio,” is derived from Bach’s Inventions. This Baroque spirit permeates the entire album, and the vocals and sound are reminiscent of Björk and Elizabeth Fraser.
