Description:
His popularity is soaring in Japan as well! Vittorio Grigolo, a tenor who is currently very popular not only in Italy but also around the world, has been on a roll with his successful performance of "Bohème" at the Met in March and a solo recital at the Met that only popular singers are allowed to give, His fourth solo album for Sony Classical is entitled "Romantic Hero," a parade of famous arias from French romantic opera. Grigolo first came to international attention with the success of "Werther" at Covent Garden in 2010, when he performed it with Netrebko. The following year, he sang "Faust" at the same Covent Garden, "Romeo and Juliet" at La Scala, and "The Tales of Hoffmann" at the Zurich Opera. Juliet" at La Scala, and "The Tales of Hoffmann" at the Zurich Opera, all of which confirmed his reputation as one of the world's leading tenors. This "Romantic Hero" is a collection of arias from French operas that are strongly associated with Grigolo's success to date, beginning with the dramatic "Spring Breeze, why do you awaken me? It consists of 12 songs that conclude with "Romeo and Juliet".As a child, Grigolo attended a French language school in Rome before he began singing at the Sistine Chapel, and French language and culture are in his veins. He says, "With this album, I wanted to portray a portrait of a true romantic hero. When I play these heroes on stage, I find myself coming alive. I started in Bel Canto in Italy, but now I know what to express in these French operas. And that is who I am," says Grigolo. In the three solo albums he has released so far, Grigolo's repertoire has been more Italian than Italian, and he has made full use of his bright voice to express himself, but this time he has deepened his repertoire to a much deeper level, giving us the essence of Grigolo's art. The lyricism of works by Gounod, Massenet, and others, and the penetrating freshness of Allevi and Maiavea, are all part of his charm. One of the highlights is Sonya Yoncheva, who sings the double in "Manon" and "Romeo and Juliet," making her debut in June 2013 at the Vienna State Opera in "Romeo and Juliet," replacing the suddenly ill Machayze, to great acclaim and an exclusive contract with Sony Classical. She is a Bulgarian soprano who was contracted exclusively by Sony Classical. In "The Tales of Hoffmann," actress Alessandra Martinez (Martine) reads. Sony Music
