Steve Perry, vocalist of the golden era Journey, which had a string of big hits including "Don't Stop Believing," "Open Arms," and "As You Like It," as well as many solo hits such as "Oh, Shelley," is back in action! Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" in 2017, his achievements are once again in the spotlight, and this new album is his first in 25 years since his last album, "Strange Medicine" (1994). Perry self-produced the album, which consists of all new songs except for a cover of The Beatles' "I Need You. It was a truly emotional experience for me to compile 30 years of my life into 10 songs," Perry said.I began to write and record these songs with creative freedom. In the process, I rediscovered my love for music. Each song expresses the traces of my past, but also contains hope for the future," he says, describing the deeply personal aspects of love, inspiration, and rebirth that led him from a period away from the scene to his recent resurrection. The album is led by the preceding single "No Erasing" and showcases a nostalgic yet new sound and the same extended vocals throughout.
